We want you to get the most out of your new hair, here’s what you need to know.

Within the first few days after your service your new extensions will take some time to adjust to your natural hair. You may encounter some slight discomfort but this is totally normal and you should not worry. Avoid washing your hair for at least 48-72 hours after the application of your new extensions to allow for maximum adhesion.

Myths

As humans we naturally lose up to 100 strands of hair each day that generally fall free from the scalp, never even to be noticed. However, with hair extensions these strands may get caught up in the tapes and can sometimes become visible when combing or brushing. This is completely normal and should not be interpreted as hair loss caused by your extensions.

Aftercare

We advise taking extra care when washing your hair. Avoid applying conditioner to the roots of your extensions, always use a loop brush before washing and do not brush your extensions when your hair is wet. When applying heat such as straighteners and blow dryers ensure they are kept away from the root/tape area as this can damage the extensions.

Products

The use of quality haircare products is essential for maintaining and prolonging the overall lifespan of your extensions. Our products have been tried and tested to guarantee the best results for your hair. Unfortunately we cannot assure the same level of quality or success with the use of other salon or pharmacy products. We recommend applying Keune Lumi Coat Supreme Cream and Keune Lumi Coat Spray to help strengthen, hydrate and moisturise, ensuring you get the healthiest and shiniest hair possible.

It is also recommended that every 4-6 weeks you book in for a Hair Extension Relift service.
